PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear School Community,

What a year! We have come to the end of the 2020 academic year and I believe the challenges we faced this year, made all of us become more independent and resilient learner

As we moved from remote learning to on-site at the beginning of this term, we organised many activities to support our students. The Athletics Carnival, the School Camp, the Foundation Graduation, the Awards Ceremony and the Year 6s’ Graduation Night were all definitely highlights of Term 4.

I wish our graduating Year Six students all the best. I hope that they will continue to develop themselves by becoming life-long learners and responsible citizens.

I thank our school captains, Cidra Chkhaydem and Raphael Pelaez for being outstanding role models and leaders who excellently represented our school throughout the year. I congratulate all the students who ran for the school captaincy. I wish all the best to our new captains Aiza Saneej and Hamza Sheriff for 2021.

I also thank the families, students and staff members who are leaving us at the end of this year for their efforts and contributions to our school and I wish them every good fortune.

I would like to thank my staff for working together as a team to support the students in and out of the school. A special thanks to Mrs. Moran for the publication of the newsletters for 2020.

I encourage our students to spend the summer holidays with lots of exciting activities such as cycling, sightseeing, playing outdoor activities, reading books and using online resources e.g. Mathletics and Reading Eggs.

Finally, it has been an honour to be the Principal of Shepparton campus for the last 4 and half years. It has been a great journey filled with amazing people. I will never forget the outstanding support I received from Sirius College parents and the community. Thank you for the experiences and memories that you have gifted to me and my family. We will miss you all. I wish you all the very best for your futures.

I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Note: The office will resume on January 11th, 2021 to assist parents with purchasing school uniforms, stationery and other enquiries.

Happy Holidays!

Yours faithfully,
Mr. Adem Engin
Principal
